Security: Why Still an Afterthought?
Security issues are highlighted in the press daily, indeed to the extent that 2011 might have be dubbed: The Year of the Hack.
These Security breaches hit commercial organisations of all sizes, as well as the Government and even security organisations themselves! Despite these high-profile problems, Security is still often considered as an afterthought; relegated to the level of an insurance policy and as an optional business cost.
At the next meeting of the Enterprise Architects Club we will be tackling this key issue in order to discuss and debate - from different perspectives based on real-world examples - how businesses should take advantage of the opportunities presented, ensuring they have a solid security layer over their key information asset.
How prepared are you in ensuring security is seen as an enabler of trust - rather than an inhibitor - to allow your customers' businesses to innovate in today's online world?
